Nice lighting tutorial, a prefer it when it is effective, but it can be a pain on complex outdoor scenes. I find that using a tool like Vray or Lighscape helps train the eye to how light behaves, I really wish they had it years ago. As far as Max 5 global illumination, you can do some beautiful stuff, but it is painfully slow. I recommend Vray in a production environment instead.

Good post, yeah i agree. I remember trying to use even 20 lights back in the late nineties using a P3 box. :angerazz:

of course there is, that's one of max 5's biggest selling points.
