Emedia-Canada
Quick question. I have to design a kiosk structure that has plasma screens which display moving images. What is the quickest way of incorporating .mov or .avi files into the material or scene? Thanks, DP

nisus
Hi Emedia, If you have memory problems I recommend you not to use *.mov or *.avi, but to use an image file list (*.ifl). This basicly a textfile that tells max which image from a sequence to load, so that per frame max only has to load one image instead of the whole animation into memory. As I said, this method can results in serious memory savings when your animationfile is rather large. Check the manual for more info on how to make *.ifl's: it's a real simple procedure and well worth it. rgds nisus
