kid
Depends on what card you're using I guess, I use an Elsa Synergy with Maxtreme driver. OpenGL works OK too, but Direct3D is all screwed up with my card, strange ghost looking artifacts all over the place.
CHE
I'm using an Elsa Gloria III (Quadro 2 Pro). Direct3D works fine with me . For some reason OpenGL is way slower than Maxtreme or Direct3D. Maxtreme works fine as well but the quality on its fast setting is really poor compared with Direct3D's :???: . Another point that would be great to discuss, videocard settings in MAX enviroment. CHE
I'm just wondering what driver you are using for MAX. OpenGL, Direct3D or Custom (Maxtreme)? I have found Direct3D to be the best of them all but I would like to hear what you guys have to say about this. Thank you.
CHE
Well after all, Maxtreme might be the best way to go. I have tested both drivers (Direct3D and Maxtreme) and I have found Maxtreme to be more accurate and faster than Direct3D. I'm still waiting for what you all have to say about this.... CHE
I keep getting "blue ghosts (lines)" whenever I use Snaps to draw shapes? Does anyone knows how can I fix that? Thank you. (Maxtreme driver, Quadro 2 Pro, Max 5) [ October 28, 2002, 02:09 PM: Message edited by: CHE ]
abicalho
Direct3D will be substancially faster than any other choice in 3dsmax5 when using the "Cached Meshes" feature. Alexander
