light test

Recommended Posts

Please help me with this scene

i am trying to understand vray sun and vray cam

have done some lighting test on a new house

havent worked on the materials yet. just trying to get the cam and sun right first.

my materials are not looking right and have a bluish tint to it when i instance the vray sky in vray environment slot

please have a look at the following images and guide me how can i achieve better lighting and right color tones of materials

here is the last one

problems that i am facing are

1.) if i use linear mapping the materials are overburnt and if i use the exponential material looks faded as u can see in the render.

2.) if i drag vray sky to vray environment my materials especially the roof becomes bluish otherwise its more yellowish

3.)i modelled in acad using feet inches and used the attached settings inside max . are they right?

please give me ur suggestiuons how i can improve it?

i tried using plain RGB 200 material for lighting but in that color looks brighetr than what it is so had to put basic materials to it.

please see the images and lemme know how to make improvement

Thanks

for starters if the sky is at turbidity 2 , then it will be blue ...... leave the sun and sky linked

also the custom balance is at yellow color , thereby removing all the yellow from the scene ....

my advice would be to read up on some photographic basics and you will know what to do with the cam
