Jeff Mottle
I'm working with the guys at vBulletin and have already done the first conversion of our existing board. There are still a few things to work out, but I wanted to know how important people's PM (Private messages were) This is one of the areas that is not converting too well and I suspect it may come down to waiting a few more months, or gong ahead shortly but losing all of the PMs. Also, I should note that I was able to get the look and feel almost identical to what we have now. Even I was getting the two mixed up during testing. You guys will LOVE searching. It's actually usable now.
xgarcia
Jeff, I've never received nor sent a Private Message through the forum. I just look up people's email and use that. Love to see that new search engine.

Jeff Mottle
LOL. That's cuz I have not switched yet. Based upon my first attempt at the conversion there are probably about 50-60 people who have at least 5-10 PM each.
Crazy Homeless Guy
private messages work fine on the new board, but you are having difficulty transferring existing messages over? i vote for sending an email to the people who have private messages stored, and telling them to make their own archive of them. the main goal of a message board is to have info available to the public. private messages are only benefiting the people who have the messages saved. chance are they don't really need them anyway, and just never bothered deleting them.
