thorsten hartmann
Hi Guys, i have wrote a little Script for 3dsmax2010 and mental ray User. At 3dsmax2010 is the BitmapPager and Autolimit Mode as default "on". This is very good for Network Rendering (different Computer with different Ram) or 32Bit OS and Large Scene. For 64Bit OS and a Single Computer, can you optimize the Ram calculation. The trick is, i disable the Ram calculation Algorithmen. The rendering is 10% faster and you can work in a other Programm at the same time. Important is only, your scene need not more Ram as your Single Computer have. have fun mfg hot chip Edited June 12, 2009 by thorsten hartmann

Dave Buckley
has anyone used this yet. i have it, but i don't have a clue what i need to set or what each option actually does? i am using a 32-bit laptop, with max design 2010, with 3GB switch enabled. i would imagine i tick the 'single' button, as i am using single computer, but this then reads 'optimized for 64-bit' and even when i change between single and network, only a few options are different between the two settings, so what are the other options even there for
