Hi,

Basically working for a railing manufaturer, and I was asked to do the spiral stair manufactuing drawings for the customer. Got the field measurements from the site for the spiral stair.

The following measuments were given to me.

1. Slope arc length from Break to Break in stringer.

2. Difference in elevation from the top to bottom break

3. Radius of the spiral stair

First task

To unfold the stair to the face of the mounting plate.

On the outboard side of the stringer mounting plates need to be fixed, to hold the railing system. Then i need to extract the exact location of the mounting plate dimensions in relationship witht the striger break points.

Second task:

To unfold the stairs to the centerline of the railing to get the exact glass height.

Needed your help to solve this issue.

thanks in advance

Aldrich

You need a mechanical designer with sheet metal detailing experience.

The manufacturer you are working for should already know this.

Why bother with a slew of suggestions that require you to learn this or that program and all of the unforeseeable technical gyrations?

Contract it out to a good sheet metal shop and be done with it!
