displaying room volume in room tag

guys

 

i've been using revit for some time however never had to do this. I'm sure there is a simple setting somewhere.

 

i have my building, i then have a room, it contains a room tag etc.

 

i have also created a section view so that i can see the volume of the room (all set properly through the parameters)

 

i have also created a schedule with the volume field included, which is working and calculating the volume.

 

finally i have edited the room tag family that is being used, i have edited it so that the tag also includes a label for volume as well as area. However i can't get it to display the volume.

 

does anyone know how to get the volume of a room displayed in the room tag?

 

i believe i have done everything until this point correctly

note that the tag displayed is in the family editor environment and is shown displaying a 'volume' label, however in the views this volume parameter is not showing although volume is clearly being calculated as shown in the schedule

Hey Dave, can't help with your problem sorry (autocad user) but I do have an architectural practice in North Wales looking for some revit training if your interested

do you want to PM me. I've solved my problem now. Not too sure what was causing it. I redid all the steps and it worked second time round? Weird

it will make your job so much easier if they start to provide you with Revit models
