Devin Johnston
We just installed Max 2010 on our farm but we left Max 2009 installed as well in case we needed to use it. Before we did the install everything was working but now none of the newly installed machines are showing up in BB. Could there be a conflict between Max 2009 & 2010 which is causing these machines to not show up? We are running the BB server as a service and I have confirmed that it is running. I've never seen this problem before, I'm hoping someone has some ideas.
BrianKitts
Have you upgraded backburner on your manager machine off the 2010 install disk so that they are all on the same version?
Devin Johnston
Yep they are all running the same version of BB. For some reason when we run the server as a service the machines won't show up but if we run it manually they do.

ihabkal
I think I can help you: go into each pc, run the server program, go to edit>settings, see if automatic search have been switched off. turn it back on, restart the server, the manager should find it now. if that works let me know. Devin Johnston
Thanks Ihab but the link Travis posted did the trick, you've got to wonder who's beta testing this software if they don't pick up on a simple problem like this.
