Brute Guy
Hello All, Having some bizzare looking reflections in my chrome material, at first I thought it was just some undersampling in the material, but I still get this even if I pump up my material sub divs. I was initially using Brute Force as a secondary pass, changed to Light cache (which usually sorts this out) but still having problems. Any thoughts? Ta Marc
cdgsean
It looks like you have a map in the bump slot (ie. brushed steel) that hasn't been mapped on the object. Check to see if you have any mapping on the object, or just disable the map in the material slot. Hope this helps.
Juan Altieri
maybe a mapping problem.... if not, maybe a mesh problem, smooth or soemthing like this, can you post a wire? Edited June 18, 2009 by Juan Altieri
Joseph Petrino
My guess would be the HDRI file your using for reflection. Try rotating a bit or using another.
