Should I be using vray with 3ds max?

As an interior architect looking to improve on viz skills from a purely 3ds max basis I wondered what people might suggest to improve quality, render time etc. I hear a lot about vray but dont know much about it, theres also vray rt which Ive recently read about. Where should I start to take the next step and at what cost?

your next step would be coming over to vray forums and reading about it and then downloading a demo and trying it out
