Randy liddil
Does anyone know if there is a color correct plugin for 3da max 2010?
Crazy Homeless Guy
Starting with Max2009 Autodesk has included a "Color Correction" plug-in built in by default. This will adjust the gamma for you, as well as refine overall color tone, and levels of your texture or solid color.
Randy liddil
then why is there a color correct plugin made for 2009? where can i find it in 2010? is it just a matter of turning the gamma on and bringing in a new bitmap at 2.2? Thanks for your help!
Randy liddil
also, whenever have previous scene made in 3ds max 2008 where we used the color correct plugin and i try and open it in 2010, everything is black because the color correct is missing. Crazy Homeless Guy
You should reset all of your materials to use the new plugin. This will make sure your files are forward compatible without needing to rely on a third party recompiling the color correct plugin.
Trick
Look in the Colorcorrect forums for the Max2010 beta plugins!

BrianKitts
awesome! been waiting on this one. I appreciate the attempt but I don't think the 3dsmax Color Correction tool is as successful as the original plug.... it's got more bells and whistles, but it's not as user friendly if you aren't working with your color inputs in float. Crazy Homeless Guy
Odd, the Color Correct plugin appears to be incompatible with A&D Shaders, but if you click to show incompatible plugins, and then select it, it appears to work.
