Dave Buckley Posted June 22, 2009 Share Posted June 22, 2009 guys i have a studio setup in max, its basically an extruded spline with two sky portals (blackbody shaders assigned) acting as area lights either side of the studio. i am doing a rendering for a catalogue so i want the model to look as real as possible. i have incoporated hdri with this setup before i just can't remeber how i did it when using sky portals as area lights?? preferably i want to be able to use the hdri for reflections only, i'm happy with my light situation in vray this is easy, but i'm using mental ray. any suggestions??
