Horhe
Anyone have any suggestions on making the towels more... idk... fuzzy/fluffy? Displacement, or at least some bump with some diffuse could immitate a bit of fuzziness. Edited June 23, 2009 by Horhe
nymn
Ok so I played with displacement for the towels and got some decent results I believe, a little overdone on the left side it possibly. I also made some minor color changes to the shelving in the back and tweaked the flowers a bit... as well as deciding against the frosted glass for a smooth glass bowl... Suddenly though i am having some issues with the walls being uneven color-wise and I can't seem to figure out the cause of this. I haven't made any changes to the wall materials or the lights and actually increased the render settings I was using and still get the splotchy-ness. Any suggestions on this specifically would be of great help... C&C on everything else is also welcome... Thanks for the suggestions so far

nymn
show us your GI and FG settings.. So when i was taking screenshots of my settings I noticed that I had locked my FG settings and set to read only. I turned off the displacement and regenerated it and then turned the displacement back on and re-rendered and everything came out fine... I think I may have overlooked that and was using a saved FG from a previous set-up and it was causing this wash effect. Either way, problem solved... Here is the final version with no post:
Horhe
Looking nice. Some chamfers to the door frames would help them catch some light and reflection. The flower petals could use some SSS, at the moment they look a bit too 'paperish' IMO. Some items on the shelves would make the image more interesting, and introduce some more action. There is some noise on the celing around the light fixture, but that is rather unnoticable and Im being picky.
