If it will stay the same few more month then I think I have to just close the company and i don't know maybe i will looking for any job, what i really dont want to do, becouse this work is the only one thing which i want to do all my life. i really love 3d work.

I'm trying to get back to my old clients (all of them are quit), I'm trying to find new clients by advertisement mails, I'm trying everything what i can do, but i don't know what happend, everythign just stoped one day, from houndreds of my mails there is not even one answer which could give me some hope about future.

Hi Nodar. You aren't alone don't worry. I am in the same situation as you. Work seemed to just stop in 2009 and is just starting to pick up again. Luckily I saved in the good years 2007/8. All you can do is what you have already done, market to existing and new clients. Update your website work on personal projects to fill any gaps in your portfolio. Fingers crossed the work will come back.

Nodar, keep your spirits up. It has been like that in the Uk but things are slowly picking up. I am now getting new clients who are saying their old providers went out of business. As a freelancer you are more able to ride the recession out. You can take other temporary work without losing your existing and don't have some of the same overheads and staff that the larger companies have. New builds got hit hard, but it does appear that the bigger companies are beginning to show some movement. It would be a shame to lose a talented individual like yourself.

I am pretty much reiterating, but you may not be doing anything wrong and may already be doing all you can. The market just DIED. The phones are ringing again now and orders coming through but all small, nothing big, nothing full of profit.

I am so glad I paid down all my debt when things were good.

thank you guys all for your reply, and for giving me hope.

this is what you call financial crisis :). and it's very much linked to our bussiness.

when i watch diferent interviews in youtube or in internet, there are lots of different thinking about how long can it take. some's say it will be about 10 years, some's say that it already started recovering. some's say that we have to wait one much more bigger step of crisis. but i don't know what can be more bigger :) then it is now.

but enyway whish you all the best, and i hope that it will be better very soon

I got lucky and picked up one big job that has continued through 'The Crisis'. However, the phone has been eerily quiet, so once that big one is finished, Im hoping things get moving again.

The advice you always hear is to diversify. However, at the moment, everything is quiet, so I dont know what to diversify to!
