Nic H
another update, i'm aware of the texture tiling. do you think this should be eliminated in post with the likes of the clone stamp, or just use a different texture? b&w version to follow that i'm using to help me understand composition definately fix the texture, much easier / better. Dave Buckley
matt are those trees Onyx cheers for that, i was hoping someone was going to photoshop one of the images i'd done thats just what i needed, much easier to see now rather than first third line (although - i think i got that bit now) camera skew to left upmost quarter backward somersault 90 degrees half flip (sorry got carried away) but much easier to see when you play with the images. nic thanks for the suggestion. that was my first thought. the textures at the minute are just there as drafts to get colour's right
Dave Buckley
opened the frame up a bit, i think it now kind of matches what you suggested matt. now onto the vegetation. the person is there just for a sense of scale although the more i look at him the bigger he gets i'm thinking of making a tree in onyx, then converting to mental ray proxy, placing proxies in scene and then applying materials to them using new multi map for mental ray. oh btw i'm using mental ray, don't think i've said what i'm using yet. is the above workflow feasible? also is there anyway of adding random variation to a proxy such as a tree so they don't just look like an array of the smae tree
