danthomas
There isn't a thread for Autodesk Impression, ive just downloaded it - all seems pretty simple and effective! It doesnt seem that widespread on the net currently, a lack of forums mentioning it. Just wondered whether anyone knows whether you can download additional blocks or styles? As there isn't that many with the program. Thanks!
TheAllusionisst
Yes you can download additional blocks at the AD Impressions site and forums, but the links that I have aren't working now. http://labs.autodesk.com/Impressionlanding.html In case someone isn't familiar with impressions: http://www.3dallusions.com/20070225241/Review-Software/Autodesk-s-Impression.html
Ruprect
I use it quite a bit for doing landscape drawings. It really makes them look far more interesting and original. And version 2 is out now. On the Autodesk site.
kroyster
I am just looking for some basic training info for impressions. The ones included are pretty 'sketchy'.
Dave Buckley
you won't find much, impression is pretty old school now. it's not being developed anymore as far as I'm aware, and hasn't been for a while
mariohansen
I have seen that software of Auto cad before. Yes i noticed the software is developed by Auto desk. Yes its a well design and occupied fully tools for creating sketch of the buildings. I think in this world almost all Architecture and CAD engineers are one of the great fan of Auto Desk.. Crazy Homeless Guy
you won't find much, impression is pretty old school now. it's not being developed anymore as far as I'm aware, and hasn't been for a while I am not sure if it is still being developed, but it is on v3.0 now, and I have heard reference to it being called Impression 2011, but that may be because it is benig bundled with AutoCAD or subscription, or something like that. I just added it to my workflow. It creates some of the better faux hand drawn line work that I have seen, so in my opinion if it dies off completely it will be a shame. That said, it isn't a complicated piece of software. You could learn most everything it has to offer by watching the bundled instructional videos, and messing around with it for 5 hours.
