I've used it a few times for email. Not great but it works.

You think that's bad, try the new Shuffle. Just reading the directions give me a headache. It only has 1 button, and a volume control, so there are instructions like "click 3 times and hold for 2 seconds..."

i've yet to upgrade my iPod Touch to 3.0 from 2.1.1. I've heard a fair few gripes about 3.0's niggly performance, and for what the upgrades gives me i'm prepared to stay where i am for the time being. if it aint broke then dont fix it type of thing.

I'm waiting for September for a new hardware release :)

The real new stuff is stuff that doesn't market well. The universal push system, a ton of improvements in the API, and the features that AT&T has decided we won't need for a few months (MMS and tether). Also, they needed to update the software anyway because of the hardware revision so it was the right time.

I think what we're seeing here is that what the user sees of the OS is pretty simple stuff and was already done quite well, so it's pretty hard to do an exciting new OS release.

I love the new updates...universal search is great way to launch apps...really like being able to search my email...and my yahoo calendar syncs wirelessly...landscape keyboard yeah !!....all in all it was well worth the 20 minutes it took to install...oh and I'm sure I'll use copy and paste someday...I use it on my computer a thousand times a day, so I just have to remember its there I guess...

Yes, which is why I found it odd that I was the center of a commercial. It is one of the oldest functions found on a computer, and one of the most universally used. For me, it being the center of attention makes me start thinking about what other functions should be this easy to implement, but are not implemented.

Oh well, I am eagerly anticipating what Apple will bring to the next iPhone anyway. .....though I am also interested in seeing how the Android develops.
