chithanh119
Hello I have an image that I will slice to smaller parts. The slice tool allows me to only draw straight lines. For some reason, I need to slice the image by drawing on it and without the use of straight lines. I will draw many curves How can I do this? Thank you
Cad64
You could use one of the lasso tools and roughly trace around the image, then copy the selection to a new layer and erase out the bits you don't want. Or you could paint a Quick Mask over the area you want to extract, then Ctrl+click on the Quick Mask button in the toolbox. This will select everything except the mask you painted, so Inverse the selection and then copy it to a new layer. Or use the Pen tool to trace around the image, then go to your Paths palette, right click on the path you created, and choose Make Selection. Then copy to a new layer. Don't know if any of that helps? If not, I guess you'll have to give a little more information about what you're trying to do?
Horhe
Use the 'polygonal lasso tool'.
Crazy Homeless Guy
Also, I am not positive, but i believe the slice tool was designed for creating web graphics. Where you would need to slice our image into pieces that fit into a table or grid.
