janmazan
I seem to be getting a bit of noise in this scene. The more reflective materials appear fine however the less reflective objects such as the bath / white walls / ceiling seem to be getting to much noise? any tips? Any replies greatly appreciated
mervin_lim23
kindly post your rendering settings and lets find out where to fix your problem. if you're using IR as first bounce and lightchache as second bounce, set your IR to high and increase your light cache subdv (1200). set noise threshold to .
alfienoakes
That scene looks to me, as if there is so little light in it, you will get noise appearing , unless you really up the settings. I would first of all, try increasing the light in the scene. It would help the image anyway. Then re-visit the noise issue. It should be get better as you add more light. I think Mervin is right as well, as the walls look blotchy. Thats a GI issue, and fairly easy to sort.

janmazan
When you say put more elements in the scene, do you mean some more items? I have added some more lighting which has certainly helped so thanks for that.
Joseph Petrino
Your Irradiance map settings look low, but how can anyone tell if you don't post your settings?
BrianKitts
set your IR to high and increase your light cache subdv (1200) Completely overkill for this simple of a scene. a medium IR, with samples of 30/30 should easily handle this scene. You could probably get away with 600 subdivs in your light cache. To remove the big splotches up the samples in the IR (not the preset) the small noise should go away if you drop the noise threshold as mervin suggested.
