Chris H
Version 8.2. Under "Radiosity" of the render settings, there are 3 radiosity modes (standard, stochastic and camera animation). What does the camera animation setting do? Chris
jackb602
Chris, The Camera Animation setting calculates a single GI solution for the entire animation. This makes individual frames render much more quickly, and reduces artifacts. It only makes sense if you have no object animation in the scene. STRAT
....and no light animation. the only animation you can have to make this solution work is only camera animation.
Chris H
Thanks, so then what's the difference between camera animation and standard animation with recompute set to first time and the save solution checked off? Would this not be the same as to what the two of you are saying? Hmmm, the further I read the Advanced Render manual the more I think this use to be called Single animation solution (pg.9) did they change the name to Camera Animation?
