Section perspective? possible?

Hi,

 

I just wonder if there is a modeling tool, a plugin, or a simple technique, that can be used to make section perspectives? Like revit's section box. And I guess sketchup has such feature (not sure though).

 

Here is a photo to describe the issue

 

Can we cut our models like this?

You Could use the clipping plane from your camera. Remembering that the further away the camera the flatter the perspective in case you want to create an ortho slice

That seems helpful for making a orthogonal like "view", but what about cutting the model and lookin from another camera?

 

Like using a boolean may help?

Do you not have a slice in Cinema 4d??

no i don't use cinema 4d, i'm a 3ds max user in which case i'd use a slice modifier

 

however, i mentioned sketchup as it is extremely easy to put a section through the entire model and look it a perspective of it

Yes I know, I mentioned about SU in the 1st post.

 

I wonder if there is such a tool for C4D, hence the thread.

 

 

PS: what are you doing in a c4d forum then? ;)
