lindsaylou4
Im currently running a demo version of Vray 1.5 for architectural modeling and rendering. I plan to continue working within Vray, but am undecided if I should purchase the standard Vray version or jump straight to Vray RT? Does anyone have any experience with RT? Thanks for your suggestions!
mattclinch
correct me if i'm wrong, but im pretty sure you need 1.5 to have RT. RT is like a bolt-on for 1.5... if i were you i'd get to grips with 1.5 first then when you feel confident enough give RT a try.
lindsaylou4
Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for your help!
Koper
Yup, RT is an extra pluging to 1.5 and sold separately. RT don't setup vray to any settings so it'll be best to get to know 1.5 before using RT but then again, RT is half price now. Imo RT is best used just for texture and lighting set-ups, its just a viewport tool. but brilliant!!
Jason Matthews
I am using RT currently with Vray and absolutely love it. I recommend buying RT ASAP along with Vray before it goes to regular price. I also think it is great for beginners learning about lighting and texturing because getting realtime updates for a setting change will allow the user to gain knowledge faster, imo.
