mrdcon
I'm not sure what I did. I was working in Max and imported a bitmap to use on an object. When I tried to render the scene using "render preview" in Environment and Effects, all I get is the background color and NOT the scene. Only minutes prior, everything was rendering fine in the preview window. I removed the bitmap from my materials editor but that didn't help. I thought that perhaps the bitmap corrupted my file so I opened a previous version of the file and the render preview worked just fine. So..... I tried once more to import a bitmap image, only a different one..... again...my render preview only shows the background color. I've imported bitmaps before without any issues. What am doing wrong? BTW.... this is only happening in the render preview screen of the Environment and Effects dialog, not with any viewports...they render just fine. Matt McDonald
We've seen this happen before but don't really know why. The fix has been to switch the renderer to scanline then back to mental ray. You'll lose your MR settings but it should fix things.
