Devin Johnston
I was digging through our server the other day looking for a model that I could swear we had and I thought it would be great if there was some kind of program that kept all of this stuff in a database that could be searched. In my dream app models, textures and associated files would all be organized neatly and accessible directly through Max. Anyone know if there is something like that on the market? Is this what Vault is supposed to do, the documentation provided in the help files is very lousy. Edited July 12, 2009 by Maxer
Dave Buchhofer
theres nothing instantly buyable short of alienbrain, vault is more for version tracking i believe? i may be wrong though as i never got a chance to try it out. ended up building a custom thing and i know a few others have also, though i dont know that any of them are finished/buyable though. Devin Johnston
Alienbrain looks like it would work except for the unrealistic price tag, what does your costume program do?
Dave Buchhofer
just a model/material/texture library browser mainly.. searching and tagging are somewhat in the works, but its turning out to be a bit trickier then i'd hoped along the lines of http://scriptspot.com/3ds-max/hcg-asset-browser-pro
