Ace_Face
I have a difficult modeling problem for a theater I'm working on. I need to show a curtain in it's open position as a "Venetian Contour" or "Austrian Puff". The stage front is convex, and so too is the curtain. Click on this link to view a demo of what I'm trying to reproduce. I was trying to use Dynamics with soft body masses to reproduce the effect, but I wasn't getting the expected results. It doesn't need to be animated, but I thought C4D's dynamics could do most of the work for me and I could just model the curtain in the down position. Any suggestions? Frosty
Hi Ace, I've done curtains a few times simply using extrude nurbs and a few splines (2-3). Here is a sample http://www.crucialperception.com/recent/cgchallenge04.jpg If you dont need to animate it, I would tackle it this way.
