valmach
Hello All... my first day.. first everything really, when it comes to 3D design.. I recently upgraded to SU 7 Pro, presuming that it was the only way to engage Maxwell properly.. however, after slogging thorough Maxwell/SU 7 pro, Help guides, I simply cannot figure out how to get the Maxwell Materials to work in SU 7 Pro. Funny thing is that before the expensive upgrade... I could see at least some of the "supported" Maxwell Materials.. this is no longer the case with Pro.. anif this was not confusing enough I can no longer see any of the the SU Materials when trying to "import new materials .. the formats now are *ACAD and *Skp... There are numerous other issues... but this one is at the heart of all the other "Materials" issues.. ie. no moving forward for now... If anyone has any ideas please let me know.. 1eo
did you install the maxwell plugin after you installed SU 7? you can always use sketchup materials (name them just like mxm file inside the Next Limit\Maxwell\material database\mxm files) example you have "..\Next Limit\Maxwell\material database\mxm files\grass.mxm" then, create a material in Sketch Up called "grass" (you can use the same texture than in grass.mxm). When you render in maxwell, Maxwell will use the "grass.mxm" file
