Andrew1
Just wondering is there a function in vray just like in max called include/exclude light, I kind of doubt it as I researched that subject but perhaps I missed something..., if there is nothing available of that kind, would there be a solution to receive the same effect as with above mentioned max function ??? I think this is such a usefull tool when constructing actual light fixtures, I always find a way around it with spot lights and they look fantastic, how ever immitating a neon lamp fixtures with the transparent sheild and actual tube objects as the lamps and the outter fixture is kind of hard to accomplish... Just wondering what everyones solution would be ??? So far I got the outter light fixture thats extruded inwards (rectangular box) and the vray plane light closing the bottom of my fixture., What I would like to get would be, outter fixture (got it) 2 tubes with the lvraylight Mtl, and the transparent sheild not casting shadows and mapped so the light is more intense where the hot spots are and less intense on the sides and around the edges..., lol, its either max implements a plane light system or vray implements include/exclude light function any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks. Joseph Petrino
The first thing that comes to my mind would be to use a Photometric light and choose "rectangle" from the "emit light from (shape)" pulldown. Perhaps I don't understand the question because VrayLight does have the "Exclude" function.
