rmccoy
I need to get a copy of Vray since I no longer have access to it since I am unemployed. Does anyone know of some ways to get some discounts on it? The cheapest I have found so far is $899 + a free t-shirt + free shipping. Not too bad even though I don't really care about the t-shirt. I was hoping to find some coupons or other discounts if anyone knows of any? Maybe someone has some other goodies (training dvd's?) packed in for $899? Thanks! Mat@MDI-Digital
The only thing that needs to be shipped is a dongle, mind you, the ******* who shipped me mine (bluechip uk) charged me £30 for it, so maybe free shipping is a good thing. I dont think ou will have much luck finding cheaper though. Edited July 16, 2009 by quizzy no need for name calling
tayrona
There is a re-seller that is offering v-ray licenses at half price. the promo works if you use their render farm services: http://www.remote-render.com/vray-licenses/
Ernest Burden III
Vray for Cinema4D is slightly more, but no dongle. I love that!
Jeff Mottle
There is a re-seller that is offering v-ray licenses at half price. the promo works if you use their render farm services: http://www.remote-render.com/vray-licenses/ Well they are providing 50% of the cost in render farm credit, so v-ray is not really 50% off unless you need render farm services. Chaos Group does not permit resellers to sell below $899. Currently they can bundle to offset the cost (like in the example above), but I have a feeling that might be restricted soon. tayrona
We paid 999 USD for the licence and something aditional for the bundle shipping. Thus, we got a 450 hours render coupon, which we will use on our next animation project. this is a very good saving for us... I dont understand why Chaos could restrict that. It is a benefit this renderfarm is giving to their clients. As the farm technician explained us, they save a lot of time and money working for licensed users because scenes coming from crack versions were very problematic and demanded more time and effort for them. Perhaps they are no making the best bussiness now, but they are investing in a better job environment for them and clients..
