Missing gizmo labels

Hi i have the following problem:

my axis labels have disappeared. The gizmo is still there and i can use it normally, but the axis labels are gone for all transforms.

 

I've attached screens so you can understand better.

 

This is clearly an error, as Max does not have that function. I've had this happen to me before on other projects, but not on a regular basis, so i guess it's something i'm doing (like leaving a sub-object selected somewhere, although this should not return such an error).

 

Can anyone help?

Go to your Customize menu and select Preferences. Then go to the Gizmos tab and check the box that says "Show Axis Labels".

 

But always remember that RGB = XYZ.

Red = X, Green = Y and Blue = Z.

The "X" key turn on and off the gizmo arrows.

 

It happens to me sometimes when i am going to undo ( Ctrl+Z) and for mistake i type the key X instead of the shortcut for the undo.

Thanks Cad64, that option was the first thing i checked, and it's on.

 

Since posting here earlier, the labels came and went several times, without me being able to figure out what makes them do that.

 

So i'm still looking for an answer.

'X' is not the problem.

Please look at the print screens. The gizmo is still there, it's not hidden.

 

It's just the axis labels that are gone.
