mskin Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 im new at doing contours. i found a couple of tutorials, but cant really get much better quality than attatched. does anyone know how to bring out the mullion spacing, etc... i just wish i could getter better linework. Macer Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 I haven't done too much with contours either, but what I've found is the finer your sampling, the better quality contours you'll get. You can try using several different materials with different contour thickness on each. This way you can make the more important stuff stand out. I'm sure others will have better advice though! Camby1298 Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Agreed, for one thing up your sampling to something around 64-1024 . And play around with your Z Step Threshold and Angle Step Threshold settings within you Contour Contrast Funstion Levels Shader. This will take just trial and error to get it just right. Usually the smaller the numbers, the more finer line work appears. I would start with a "1" with your angle step, and go from there. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
