BrianKitts
Anyone finding an excessive number of max instances piling up in their task manager when running 2010 64bit? I noticed it a few weeks ago, and I can't find any rhyme or reason to why and when it happens.
Camby1298
This issue was brought up on this forum before a few weeks ago. Cant remember where its at, but Im pretty positive the solution is somewhere around here...

cgrant3d
Brian - from what I can tell its due to the ColorCorrect plugin which is currently in beta status. Cuneyt said he'd look into it after Siggraph. The issue has been reported on his forum for ColorCorrect. http://www.cuneytozdas.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=
BrianKitts
Awesome.... sort of, even if there's no fix yet, it's nice to know what's causing it. thanks chris
danb4026
Is there a fix for this yet?? I have as many as 3 or 4 instances of Max showing up as processes. Taking up huge amounts of memory.
Dave Buchhofer
None that i know of, though i haven't looked in a while, i had just set up a batch to strip it from the model library here, then deleted it heh!
cgrant3d
I wanted to update everyone here - there's a pretty slick solution implemented by James Haywood where he uses some dot net magic to forcibly terminate max on exit thus fixing the problem of 3dsmax.exe processes stacking up. We've had it running for several days here at HMC and it's working great with the added side effect of making max quit much faster than before.
