Guest FlaviusC
Hello there..This is actually my 3rd attempt to get a proper bathroom render, the other were utterly crap that I didn't even posted here..What I want to try is to get to the next level... And get photorealistic renders... I've been spending almost 5 days at this bathroom and I don't know what to do to it anymore...Here are two types of lightning,I'm not sure which one to choose... Thank you for your help and support! P.S.- i know in the first image there is a problem with the shadows passing through the glass,,,I forgot to check "affect shadows" so I'll fix that.. sbrisson
What I see so far have good potential! the design is cool nice mix of colors. I would like to help you out but I would need to know what software you use.
Guest FlaviusC
Hello there! I'm sorry for not posting the software I've been using. I am using 3ds Max 2009 and V-ray . Irr map + Light Cache... In the second image I'm using a V-ray area light which is put outside the room, and in the first one V-ray Sun + V-ray phyisical camera.
sbrisson
First, I want to say this image is very good, the comment I'm gonna say will just make it better for my taste. i don't think you should be shy to show that to anybody. Ok so, I'm not gonna be able to help you out with technical stuff cause I don't know either max and vray. but I can give you some suggestions on the composition and design. try to get rid of the 3rd vanishing point. (remove rotation "X" in your camera) this way the shower will not be "falling on the side" there's a mirror over the sink? it's hard to read cause it reflect the exterior which is blasted. I suggest 2 things. try to change the camera angle so we see a bit off the large window and a glimpse of exterior, and tone down the environnement. those changes will probably help to read the green carpet better.. I don't know if it's on only a carpet with a black border or a piedestal. very nice vibrant color and it look fluffy! for the water in the tub, I suggest you add a subtle bump. I usually use a fractal. and maybe add what I would call a color fading. it's probably in the refraction options. this will help for the photorealism. it will give a color to the water a the place where it's more deep. two last things.. the bathroom your' doing is very high end, I suggest you use 24 inches tiles with no grout. try travertine marble.. http://allura-direct.com/cheltenham/images/TRAVERTINE.jpg I suggest you use much larger tiles in the shower as well. I hope that you won't be mad at me for all those comments.. I'm not sure yet how much people in this forum like to receive comments.. also my english is not very good..hope you understand. 3dcontent.pl
In my opinion, Bump on grout is to big. You should use some interior lights, not only envirement. Also you should use some caustics from glass. Best regards. 3dcontent.pl
