RAYMOND
I recently went thru a layoff, which many are experiencing here... since last sept every week we have recieved about 2 calls a week asking if we had any opening not to mention we had to lay off people ourselfs fortunately I am still at the office, under the privledge of doing free lance on my same work station... it was... why have a ws sit and do nothing if you can find work for it.. we are very small at full team of 5 employee's on max load anyway, too, I basically started my retirement. so decided not to pursue another office knowing so many out there are trying also.. who need work much more than I.. so now I am seeking the wisdom from free lancers.. on how to survive and do well with it..i have done free lance before but it was just under doing a favor for friends and not a serious business pursuit. any suggest much appreciated... ray honolulu Edited July 22, 2009 by RAYMOND sp
Noise
Good luck on your retirement Ray ! Kicking back and enjoying yourself should be the order of the day but, keeping your hand in some work (I believe) is also a good idea. With regard to doing freelance work for friends - never a good idea unless you don't need the money. If you are doing it for another company, pay on delivery. Take care.
