sbrisson
if it was in maya I would say: "save your scene\close maya\re-open" tadaaa.. I don't know if max is so unstable.

luckymutt
go to customize then revert to start up layout Although if you do that, you may lose other layout aspects if had any customized. close though Do: Customize->Show UI->Command Panel Or: Right-click on the tool bar -> Command Panel Edited July 22, 2009 by luckymutt
Dave Buchhofer
throw a keyboard key onto 'Show Command Panel Toggle' for fun and profit.
Ricardo Eloy
go to customize then revert to start up layout On max 2009, there seems to be a bug regarding that. Sometimes, even if you reload the UI scheme, it does not show the command panel. If that's the case, simply exit and restart max. As far as I know, this bug is caused by an error in the ini file. This files stores, among other things, the position of each panel. For some reason, sometimes it assigns an off-screen coordinate, making max think the panel is there when it in fact isn't. wasteland giant
Get this problem too. Its like really buggy and I don't know why it hasn't been fixed. Got this with most iterations of max too. But in 2009... there was a time when it wouldn't restore. if this continures to be a problem.. a) load default layout b) change the skin to a different version c) change it back. it will then bring back the panel. we really shouldn't have to do this though.
