Cesar R
1) Is there a vay to reverse the direction of which the mouse needs to be moved in order to tumble in the perspective view? 2) If I move a cube 2ft north and then 3 ft to the right using the cordinates I see absolute values I think. so then if I want to move to the cube another 3ft to the right i have to watch out for 6ft instead or an aditional 3ft (I have to do the math in my head) am i missing something? I am playin with a demo version still
Chris H
I'm not sure about #1, never tried... although it does confuse me sometimes #2. You can do math with your coordinates. So if you moved something 2ft and you later realize you want to move it another 3ft, just add "+" the 3ft to the appropriate axis. Chris

Ace_Face
Cesar, I remember reading that you can do this. I don't have my manual here tonight so I'll look tomorrow morning and post a solution. Unless someone beats me to it. Originally posted by Cesar R: what I mean, is after I move something 2ft can I reset its cordinates? so when I move it again I can type 3ft instad of 5? Chris H
Cesar, your basically doing the same thing with what I suggested. As for your way, no, not that I know of.
Ace_Face
Ok Cesar, To reset an objects coordinates in C4D you need to do the following: Create a cube Change the position, (ie. +100 feet in the y axis) Next, make the object "Editable" and switch to the "Object Axis Tool". Set your objects y coordinate to 0 and the "Object Axis" moves back to 0, but the object stays. You can also use "Reset System..." found in the "Functions" menu to reset an objects axis that has been rotated and moved. Experiment to see it's full features. Cesar R
gosh, you actually take the time to post screen shots!! thank you! by the way, are you using Jeff's upload tool? because I have safari and it doesnt work. I have to go to a PC tp do it.
Ace_Face
No, the upload tool doesn't work with Safari. I use my .mac account to publish all my pictures. I just create a folder in my "Sites" folder and then point to them using the "Image UBB code". I don't know if the upload utility works on mac's with Internet Exploiter. But I'd rather host the images myself since Safari is so much better and faster. Originally posted by Cesar R: by the way, are you using Jeff's upload tool? because I have safari and it doesnt work.
