DarkSun
Ok textures in 3d ain't my area. I was wandering if someone can maybe explain or point me to a tutorial or such to create chrome or liquid metal. And since i have version 6 i cannot use SLA. Thanks, DarkSun
STRAT
if you have rel 6.3 or above you can use SLA . try some deepshaders - http://www.maxon.de/deepshade/shader/shaders/mineral/ix_min1.html http://www.maxon.de/deepshade/shader/shaders/sla/ix_sla1.html
DarkSun
Actually i have Cinema 4D CE, and i am waiting for the CE+ upgrade. So SLA will not work. -DarkSun
Frosty
Basic Recipe for chrome: Colour: Greyish biege, Brightness 20 Refliction: 85 Enviornment: add a map and set to 20 with multiply Specular: Plastic, width 75, height 100, falloff -20, inner width 10 That should get you started. I would add a little blur to the environment map as well.
