Crazy Homeless Guy
Does anyone know if there is a method for strip rendering a Render Element? Often when I am running towards a deadline, I strip render high res images on the render farm. Unfortunately Render Elements are not compatible with strip rendering. I am wondering if there is a way to strip render a material ID as the main pass, or another similar Render Element? I can easily make an AO pass the main pass, but can I do it for other items. Alexaserret
As far as I know, there is no way. It seems as though the strips are being overwritten as they are rendered, so after they have all been rendered we end up with only one file (the last strip, not a stiched image). This only happens to the elements.
Crazy Homeless Guy
I haven't tried a multi-EXR yet, so maybe I will give that a whirl and see if it saves the elements within individual strips. Though I am not getting my hopes up.
