Wokka
G'day guys & girls, hope you can help. One of my clients wants to be able interact with a 3D model (either ArchiCad or C4D, but i'd prefer C4D for quality). It's not just flying around the model etc but he'd like to manipulate materials and colours. The software could be just like QTVR, jumping from spot to spot or fully interactive for movement. He could use photoshop and (using buffers in C4D) create masking to varie hue/saturation etc but I think realtime movement and colours would be great. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. jntdigital
there is no way currently to do this in Archicad, so In my opinion, you have a couple of options.. One is Shockwave 3D (Macromedia Director). it has a steep learning curve, but its great and gives you alot of flexibility for end user control of the textures and colors in the model. you must learn lingo to do this, and it takes awhile. Unfortunately, and i hope i'm wrong, but Macromedia seems to be losing interest in Director. Macromdia website Another is Anark Studio. i am currently evaluating this program now. does alot of the same things as the 3d side of director. Anark Studio Good luck. NC Relic
I could do that with my Anark 2 in a matter of hours. not tryin' to sound like that. i just mean that is really simple with this program.
Derek Entesano
Tim its a pretty old question so alot has changed since then. Such as the new Graphisoft Virtual Building Explorer for Archicad
Wokka
Hey guys, Thanks for the replies. I'm a little late thanking Jntdigital (only 5 yeas!). Graphisoft Virtual Building Explorer looks promising but I wish they'd fix the exchange plugin to C4D AND get Archicad right first! Cheers
