Linked Dummy won't affect AutoCad Solids

Hello all. I have been away from rendering and animation for a good while now. But now have a new project that requires both, and I am running into trouble.

 

I am using Autodesk VIZ 2006, yes its old but it works, with an AutoCAD model attached to it. I am trying to animate doors that need to open, and in the past, I have always made a dummy, then linked the parts of the door to it, set the dummy where I wanted the door to pivot from, and then set the pivot points in line with the time line, and the door parts moved with the dummy in the animation.

 

Now, only the dummy moves...and I have spent the last hour trying to figure out why, read through the User Help index, and searched here...to no avail.

 

Can anyone help, please, I would greatly appreciate it, and it would save my backside on this project.
