Devin Johnston
I've been asked to do an animation that will have a component of character interaction in it, it's not the typical architectural animation. Up until now I've always used people that were pre-rigged like those from AXYZ Design, although they are limited in their movements I've always been able to make them work. However now I'm being asked to have these people do specific things and I can't find any mocap data that will work. I've considered trying to hand animate them to do what I need but since I have no experience with this I think the result will be less than impressive and will take much longer than I think. So I'm really not sure where to go from here, I know there are programs like Massive that use AI to move large groups of people around but that doesn't seem to be the answer I'm looking for. Is there anything out there that would allow a novice in character animation to create a sequence of events relatively easily? Any ideas are welcome. TheAllusionisst
Max and Max Design Owners have access to CAT after Autodesk purchased XSI, it can even recognize obsticles in scenes if memory serves me correctly. May as well rigg and animate now so that you have the skill set.

Devin Johnston
How much do they cost?
tayrona
How much do they cost? Depends on your request... dont know exactly what kind of movements are you expecting.. I have paid 90, 150, 200 USD per character.. if you need more than 10 animations is cheaper. Send them your needs and they will make a budget. shaneis
Well, well, well! How very interesting, Maxer! I seem to recall you voicing some very strong opinions against out-sourcing within the past 6 months. I guess something must have changed?
