Dave Buckley
when i send a job to net render, the net render fails due to an object not having correct uvw co-ordinates, however, my scene is huge and i can't seem to find the object causing the crash. it's not as simple as typing the object name into the select by scene because things are grouped/x'ref'd etc etc
Dave Buckley
ok let's look at this a different way. when i render the scene locally i get an error message that pops up saying that a certain objects requires UVW coordinates. However, on a local render i have an option to ignore the error message and let it carry on rendering. Can i ignore the error message on a network render? Nic H
yep you can ignore that error. use a script called 'Zorb' from scriptspot and you can select objects in scene that do / dont have certain modifiers. plus mass editing of modifers and loads of otehr stuff
Dave Buckley
i know i can ignore it locally but when i send the render to slaves i don't have the option to ignore it anywhere and the slaves just won't jump to the job
SandmanNinja
There must be a way to do this with a script... http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php/t-421353.html i=getClassInstances Missing_OSM o=for m in i collect (refs.dependents m)[3] select o would that do it? I'm shifting monitors around and only have 1 screen temporarily and max is opening in the 'Other' monitor (which isn't plugged in). I'll fix it up tomorrow tho. Need some power boards and what-not. Dave Buckley
gonna give it a try now so thanks but ideally i want to take the other route (tell my servers to ignore any errors about missing mapping coordinates)
