Problem with 3ds Max viewport

Hi everyone, I have 3ds Max 2010 x64 installed on my computer and I'm having some problems with it. When I have done an object and open an internal window, the viewport screen cuts the windows I have opened before. It's like if it refreshed the image on the viewport and this affects the part of the window I opened above it. This happens with most windows such as material editor, render, etc.

I have attached some images

I'm using an ATI 4670 and tried several drivers, with the same results. This is happening since I use Windows XP 64bit, with any version of 3ds Max, I didn't have any issues before.

I think there's something wrong with the driver but this happens only in this program (not even on Autocad, wich is an Autodesk product also).

Is there any setting I can try to see if I can modify this? I've tried the Views menu on the tool bar, but I don't understand what those settings are for exactly.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I am not using max 2010 yet.. but it seems to be a graphic mode issue. did you try switching between open GL and Direct 3D?

I did and I have no problems if I use OpenGL but it get too slow to move around the scene if I have too many objects. I was told it could be a directX issue but don't know how to solve it

It should be a trouble "graphic card vs. software". is this the only computer you are using?.

We had a similar issue few weeks ago and was easy to guess that was a graphic card configuration because we use several computers with identical software.. then we exchanged cards and found it.

Make sure to use the lastest drivers and check all settings. if you have a chance try testing with another g.c.
