Greg Law
I have done a sketchup model of a landscape area with a lot of trees in it. These were 2d trees. The file size was 79megs. This is not a problem as such. The problem I have is to reduce it or break it up to send to our China office. I separated the trees into their own file and deleted them out of the original file and saved it as a building file. When I looked at the size of each new file and found they were the same as the original file with the trees in it. I think the files still reference the deleted objects. Is there a way to purge a file to remove deleted object references?
free agent
yup sketchup still stores the images, go to Window > Model info > Statistics > Purge. thats a global purge other wise you can go to the material or component or layer window and preform isolated purges
Greg Law
Thanks Sean, That did the job nicely. Took it from 79megs to 4.9megs. I new I had missed something.
