Chicago C4D Meeting Sept. 2: Scott Peters on Integrating Cinema 4D with After Effects

September is almost here, and so is our next Chicago C4D meeting. Here is the detailed information:

Guest Presentation by Scott Peters: Integrating Cinema 4D with After Effects

We're excited to announce a guest presentation by Scott Peters, Motion Graphics Designer at the Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa in Michigan City, Indiana. Scott will be demonstrating how he uses Cinema's strong integration with After Effects in a production environment. His presentation will include a Q&A session, so bring your questions.

 

Scott uses Cinema 4D and After Effects to create motion graphics for the Casino's in-house broadcasting network to announce current promotions and entertainment. He also teaches Intermediate/Advanced 2d Animation at Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso, Indiana. On top of that, Scott does freelance motion work for Chicago Digital, a digital signage company. Scott received his Associates degree in Interactive Media in 2002 at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago, and recently received a B.S. in Business/Techincal Management at DeVry University in Tinley Park, Illinois.

 

We will also have some announcements about the future of Chicago C4D. We've been speaking to the professional community, and have some exciting news about what you can expect from Chicago C4D in the coming year. And last but not least, you'll have the usual opportunity to meet and network with other C4D users from all backgrounds. We look forward to seeing you there!

Oh, man! I wish I was in Chicago for this one! I would love to see this presentation, as I've never used the C4D>AE connection, despite owning both for many years.

Thanks Ernest. I'm excited about this presentation too, since I have barely touched After Effects, but I know how capable it is.

 

We actually have posted screencasts of past meetings, and you can check them out here. People seem to really appreciate the videos, but maybe too much. We really want to keep the focus on meeting in person, and putting everything online creates less of an incentive to actually come downtown. We are thinking about ways to share this content and still keep the focus on the meetings. And if you're ever in Chicago, you're more than welcome as a guest or a presenter!
