Dave Buckley
let's say i have a spline and It only has a start and end vertex. i want to be able to add a series of vertex onto that spline (starting from the start point) but at even distances, let's say i want to add a vertex every 3.5m. the curve isn't straight and i don't know how long it is. if i knew how long the spline was i guess i could just divide the segment with a bit of basic math. but i'm not sure how to do it now i have no length. yes i said 'i have no length', let the penis jokes commence seriously though i do need help with this cheers
rmccoy
I believe you can use the spacing tool to achieve this
Dave Buckley
i can use the spacing tool to space objects along the spline, but i don't think i can use it to space vertices along it (it makes you specify an object and a path)
Stephen Thomas
Normalize spline modifier does exactly what you're after.
rmccoy
That works perfectly.
Magnus_Alexander
yes i said 'i have no length', let the penis jokes commence we all already knew that just by looking at your avatar picture, hahaha.... sorry, I couldn't resist...
