form z-attempt to write data

Version 3.5 and older used to do this on win2k, but that might not be the case here.

Try posting your exact problem, machine specs, OS...

Hint: try changing status of objects to "delete" after operation (used to help me when I got those crashs in the past)

for any pc guru's- in form z- when trying to model a terrain, & on picking the site boundary I get en error & crash.

 

message "code=c000000005.Address=429749. attempt to write data at address= 1836c884"(or similar).

Anyone else had this- some form of conflict or memory thing (ram=768). ??

this could be a tough one to solve. you might want to post a link to the file so we can try it. this will eliminate whether it is machine related, or formz related.

 

make sure you post the formz version number you are using as well. we have 4.1, but i tend to only use 3.9.5.

thanks - will clean up the cad drawing a bit better & see what happens..

Make sure you are drawing the lines in FormZ and not rely on the ones from the cad file. Try a new file and make a quick terrain and see if it works. It's tricky, until you get the hang of it.
