PabloEscobar
Can someone tell me the perimeters of how to get a glass window to look like a glass window, basically not so opaque, and see-thru.
Thablanch
Always depending what rendering engine you are using.. Diffuse, dark greenish / bluish color Reflection, nearly 100%, fresnel on Refraction, somewhere in between 90 - 95% - I'm saying refraction, and not transparency. If you are using MentalRay, there is preset materials in Pro Materials and Arch & Design. If you are using vray, take a look at http://www.vray-materials.de a good start point. wasteland giant
best advice is to a) google for materials b) make your own. depends on the renderer/setup

SandmanNinja
Mental Ray has some very nice glass in the included A&D mental ray library. You can adjust the BDRF to get the reflective Daytime look or the transparent Nighttime look.
