thomasj
hello, in the vray manual for rhino i came across a message on the side of the page: If you do not want to use the physical camera it will be necessary to decrease the intensity of the sun by a significant amount, however, the sun and sky may not act in the way it was designed. Do any of you manually change the intensity of the sun through properties panal, or is this not recommended? Do i have to use a physical camera for proper exposure? thanks
Thablanch
Physical cameras are just great.... Sometimes, exceptions, I can play with the sun value. But the Vray sun default value is ok, and just as in real life, the camera shutter / iso, or even your eye pupil, adapts to it... I find it way easier and faster to play around with the camera to get desired results than with the sun intensity. (For a camera with no exposure, sun value can be set to 0.02 / 0.03 to get similar results) But it all comes down to personal preferences, there is no wrong way of doing it, as long as you are happy with your results.
