VisArch Architectural Conference and Job Fair

Has anyone heard about an upcoming event in South Florida called VisArch. What do you think?

From the look of their webpage, I would say don't bother.

But maybe I'm judging a book by its cover...An ugly cover... but I could be wrong.

I think the ASAI conference will probably be more worthwhile, and it's just down the road in Miami Beach.

If ever this event comes back online, I would not bother going as they'd likely just take your money and run. They took out advertising on the site for three months. They paid the first month in advance, then I had to threaten pull their ads before they paid for the second month (just before their event). I allowed them some extra time to pay the third installment, but now they will not return any phone calls or emails. I'm sending the outstanding fees to a collection agency, but I just thought I would warn anyone else about this event. I spoke to one of the speakers they booked for the event and they "postponed" the event at the last minute and did not even let the speaker know until just days before. Considerate of them.

 

The original poster Daziano Smith is one of the organizers, so maybe this post will get them to pay up! I hate deadbeats! Especially when I make concessions for them and they don't even have the courtesy to return my calls or emails.
